Max’s mum was in a serious car accident, was in hospital for a long time and had many operations with long term and ongoing treatment.
This had a massive impact on all the family, not least Max who was worried all the time mum was away in hospital. When she finally came home, Max helped care for her – cleaning up, helping with her meds and just being there for her.
He is a massive PNE fan so we put together a bag of North End goodies and arranged for his favourite player to sign some boots and send a personalised letter.
It was another surprise ‘knock on the door’ event – and – well, look at that smile!
