Well, to be honest
not an awful lot as we are still in the hands of the pandemic and restrictions. But there are, as we know, lights at the end of this long tunnel and I have two new referrals from Brian House in Blackpool. Hopefully, there will be news on them before much longer.
Some really good news though –
Progress Housing – who are really good eggs and really supportive of local community groups – are holding a Soup Dragon’s Den event on Thursday May 13th at 6pm. It’s a bit like ‘Dragon’s Den’ but for the community and there is up to £1000 to be won. I am thrilled skinny that we are one of the six groups to be shortlisted to give a pitch on the night. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join the Zoom event and will be given a vote. So please – if you are reading this and you want to support us – then join on the night and vote for Miles of Smiles. It’s really easy. No need to part with any money and even better, no need to leave your armchair. Just by clicking on this link https://soupdragonsdensession1.eventbrite.co.uk- and then, on the night, exercising your digit one more time and pressing on the ‘Vote for Miles of Smiles’ button, you will have helped to make more children smile.
